Sundgren Realty presents #GivingTuesday donation to Sunlight Children’s Services

Sundgren Realty is thrilled to share the success of our second annual Giving Tuesday partnership with Sunlight Children’s Services, an organization dedicated to supporting abused and neglected children in El Dorado, Kansas. This year, through the generosity of our community and our matching pledge, we were able to make a significant impact.

On Monday, January 13, 2025, members of the Sundgren Realty team—Audrey Reese, Kelsey Sundgren, Ashleigh Casper, and Deanne Woodard—had the honor of presenting a check for $4,020, along with several gift cards, to Sunlight Children’s Services. This amount represents the incredible $2,010 donated by community members during our Giving Tuesday campaign, which Sundgren Realty proudly matched dollar-for-dollar.

A Partnership That Makes a Difference

Sunlight Children’s Services provides critical resources and care for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Their programs include the Child Advocacy Center, which coordinates a multi-disciplinary response to child abuse cases, and the Sunlight Children’s Home, which offers temporary emergency shelter for children in crisis. Serving over 800 children annually, Sunlight ensures these young individuals receive safety, support, and compassion when they need it most.

By partnering with Sunlight for Giving Tuesday events over the past two years, Sundgren Realty has joined hands with this vital organization to shine a light on the needs of vulnerable children in our community.

Community Generosity at Work

This year’s campaign focused on monetary donations and gift cards for food and gas—essential items that help children and families access critical services. The response from our community was heartwarming. Every dollar donated by individuals was matched by Sundgren Realty, doubling the impact of each contribution.

The funds raised will directly support Sunlight’s mission to provide safe environments and essential care for children in need. Additionally, the gift cards will help families cover transportation costs as they travel to and from services provided by Sunlight.
