Land Auctions: A Year of Impressive Sales
This year, Sundgren Realty facilitated the sale of thousands of acres across Kansas, delivering outstanding results for sellers and buyers alike. Here are some of the highlights:
- 922 Acres in Chase County: This native pasture was sold in two tracts—604 acres at $2,620 per acre and 318 acres at $2,650 per acre—averaging $2,630 per acre for a gross total of $2,425,180.
- 900 Acres in Sumner County: Sold in five tracts, this property achieved prices ranging from $2,500 to $2,950 per acre, with an average of $2,750 per acre and a gross total of $2,472,715.
- 789 Acres in Butler County (Latham): Two tracts of native pasture were sold—386 acres at $3,400 per acre and 403 acres at $3,150 per acre—highlighting the demand for premium grazing land.
- 244 Acres in Harvey County: This property included a house and 25 acres that sold for $725,000. The remaining tracts averaged $8,400 per acre for a gross total of $2,051,500.
- 160 Acres in Sedgwick County: Divided into two irrigated tracts, this property featured 80 acres of flood-irrigated land that sold for $10,120 per acre and 80 acres with a small pivot system that sold for $6,325 per acre. The average price was $8,222.50 per acre with a gross total of $1,315,600.
- 146 Acres in Douglas County: This diverse property near Baldwin City achieved an impressive sale price of $10,560 per acre for a gross total of $1,541,760.
- 540 Acre Myers Ranch in Butler County: Sold across four tracts for a combined total of $2,534,000.
- 2000 Acres in Marion County: Scenic native Flint Hills pasture north of Florence sold for $6,000,000.
- 1530 Acres in Cowley County: Known as the Horse Creek Ranch, this native Flint Hills pasture between Dexter and Winfield sold for $4,131,000.
These results highlight the growing interest in Kansas farmland and recreational properties and demonstrate our team’s ability to connect sellers with motivated buyers through competitive auctions.
Personal Property Auctions: Exceptional Results
In addition to land sales, Sundgren Realty hosted several successful personal property auctions that delivered remarkable outcomes:
- Fall Equipment Auctions: Two major equipment auctions grossed over $700,000 in total sales. Notable items included a John Deere 6135E tractor w/ loader for $64,900, a John Deere 6170R tractor with loader for $132,000 and a Massey Ferguson Hesston WR 9870 windrow for $107,800!
