Ian is a native of South Central Kansas growing up around the auction world on both sides of his family by way of Sundgren Realty & Auction in El Dorado and Worrell Auction & Real Estate in Leon.

In his role as Director of Development, Ian is focused on adding meaningful value to the clients and communities Sundgren Realty & Auction serves across Kansas, bringing with him a broad professional network and a track record of building lasting relationships.

He is a graduate of Kansas State University with a BS and MBA, both in finance.  He spent the first 16 years of his career in commercial banking and lending at INTRUST Bank.  In 2022 he stepped out of the banking industry to pursue opportunities in non-profit, entrepreneurship, small business, and technology fields, with a focus on business development and team building.

Ian resides in East Wichita and currently volunteers his time on the Operations Committee (“Red Shirts”) for Wichita Festivals.  He has been an active member of the Wichita community over the years with non-profit and community organizations, past involvements including: HumanKind Ministries, Quivira Council BSA, Risk Management Association-Wichita, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Wichita, United Way of the Plains, Young Professionals of Wichita, and Avenue Art Days for the Douglas Design District.
